At Hideout, we love smash burgers, but we don’t want to simply serve them and expect them to do all the work. For us, enjoying a burger also means feeling comfortable and receiving friendly, attentive service, among other things.
We want you to come in, sit down, enjoy yourself and have reasons to come back. To make that happen, there are three things that set us apart from other burger joints: table service, our pet-friendly spaces and our homemade sauces.
At many burger joints, the experience starts with queuing in front of a screen or waiting at the counter to place your order. It’s a practical and quick approach, but it’s not always what you want when you’d rather sit down and enjoy your meal without rushing.
At Hideout, we prefer to make things easier for you.
Here, you sit down, take your time looking through the menu and our team comes to your table to take your order. No having to leave the conversation just as it was getting interesting, and no sending one person from the group to order for everyone.
Having someone from our team there is also particularly useful when you’re visiting Hideout for the first time. If you don’t know which burger to choose, want to know more about a sauce or are looking for a recommendation, you can simply ask us.
That said, table service doesn’t mean turning the experience into something rigid or overly formal. Hideout is still a relaxed place with a great vibe, where you can come with friends, as a couple, with colleagues or on your own.
The difference lies in combining that laid-back atmosphere with friendly, personal service. We want you to enjoy a smash burger in a casual setting while still feeling looked after throughout your visit.
We know that plenty of plans start with one important question: “Can we bring the dog?”
At Hideout, the answer is yes.
Our spaces are pet-friendly, because we understand that your dog is part of your life, your walks and, in many cases, your group of friends too. Although they’re probably the member who pays the most attention when the food arrives.
That means you won’t have to leave them at home or change your plans at the last minute. You can come to our restaurants and enjoy your smash burger with everyone there.
In fact, Hideout is the perfect stop after exploring the neighborhood (Eixample or Poblenou), heading to the beach or going on one of those walks that was supposed to be short but somehow turned into a full-blown excursion.
Being pet-friendly isn’t just about allowing animals inside. It’s about creating a more comfortable space for people who want to share their plans with their furry friends. Because a good meal is even better when no one important gets left behind.
A sauce can turn an average burger into the kind of burger you’re still thinking about hours later. That’s why, at Hideout, we don’t treat sauce as a last-minute addition or something that’s only there to fill a little pot.
Staying true to the tradition of Brazilian burger joints, we make our own sauces, designed to complement the ingredients and give each burger its own personality.
Some are milder, some creamier and some more intense, because not everyone expects the same thing from a burger. Some people want the sauce to make a subtle appearance. Others believe that if it hasn’t reached your fingers yet, there probably wasn’t enough of it.
Sauces help balance the flavors of the meat, cheese and toppings. They can also make two seemingly similar burgers deliver completely different experiences.
We can talk about table service, our homemade sauces and how welcome your dog will be. But there’s one thing that’s non-negotiable: the burger has to taste seriously good.
At Hideout, we pay close attention to the quality of our ingredients and the preparation of every recipe so that each one plays its part. The meat is the star of the show, but the bun, cheese, toppings and sauces all need to measure up.
The smash technique allows us to create one of the contrasts that defines our burgers: a golden, crispy surface combined with a juicy interior. From there, we build each burger around balance, personality and, above all, flavor.
The result needs to deliver from the first bite to the last. No ingredients that are there just to bulk things out, and no combinations that need a lengthy explanation to make sense.
Because the atmosphere adds to the experience and the service matters, but we know there’s one main reason why you come back to a burger joint: because you can still remember the taste of your perfect burger.
